Unpublished first draft of a snippet of "Fire Sermon" that I don't wanna post on Tumblr yet:

“You could be a hero!” Akane exclaimed. “Why would you give that up?” Softer, “Give me up.”

“I love you,” Aoi said gently, “but they don’t. Love doesn’t hurt like this.”

Junpei looked between them, dazed and not sure who to go to. He remembered something: he didn’t belong here, and where he came from there were two people on this Earth who would never hurt him.

“Junpei,” Akane pleaded, “you want to come with me, right?”

Junpei stepped towards her, his mind spinning, and he felt Akane trying to take control of it, control of him. His brain screamed to let her.

“Of course I do,” he said, and then thrust the taser out in front of him and pulled the trigger.

Yes I adapted Luther's "Love shouldn't hurt this much" quote from Umbrella Academy and what of it.
